This hotel has made our adventure in Iceland beyond our expectations and will stay in our memories forever. Being able to see the city and ocean from our bed, only enhanced by the snow at 04.00am and being able to go on the balcony and feel the snow on our face, and being wrapped up by nature, whilst being able to enjoy the warmth of the room and comfortable bed to snuggle in seconds later, whilst feeling like we are still outside connected to this beautiful city. Breakfast had plenty of choices to choose from to make sure we are ready for our adventures on Golden Circle. Chilling out in the evening, snuggled in the comfortable seating area within reception, bar area watching people walking by, whilst enjoying the hospitality of its people where you can choose to engage or being able to be left in own thoughts contemplating the beauty of this great country and its people . Thank you for making us welcome and looking after us so well from check in to check out, from lovely breakfast staff to lovely housekeeping staff, we have met whilst working hard making sure every part of hotel is kept to high standard of cleanliness . Thank you all for this wonderful memory . Staying in this fantastic, central hotel, with the stone throw from the centre and the most wonderful views has made our journey to Iceland unforgettable.

I had a pleasant stay at Central Hotels Plaza in Reykjavik. The location was perfect, very central and convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast was decent, but the selection was quite limited and remained the same every day, which became a bit repetitive over time. A little more variety would have been appreciated. The room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable for a short stay. However, upon my arrival, I did notice a hair on the bed before I even lay down, which was a bit surprising. While this didn’t affect the overall experience, it could be improved in terms of cleanliness. Overall, the location was the biggest highlight of my stay, and with a few small improvements, it could be an even better experience.

The hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing, lots of shops, bars and restaurants on the door step too. The reception staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the maids were polite and friendly also. The breakfast is very good, plenty of choice. We enjoyed Happy Hour! The only negative is, on a Friday and Saturday evening the club over the other side of the square is very very loud, even though we were at the back of the hotel, between 11pm and 3.30/4am we were kept awake by the constant boom boom of the bass. So that's just something to consider. The other two days we stayed were peaceful and we slept well. All in all 8/10

The location is right in the centre of town, restaurants, there are two 24 hours convenience stores nearby, one just next door & another 5 mins walk away, it’s walking distance to the harbour, to the museums, to the church, to bus stop #1. Breakfast was worth adding onto the room rates, good spread, with fruits yogurt, ham sausages, eggs, coffee and an assortment of teas. I got a room in the top floor, with a huge triangle window, overlooking the town centre and i managed to catch the Aurora right out my bedroom window in my 1st night stay!! So unexpected in the middle of Reykjavík town, despite all the bright lights!

I booked this for my mams surprise 70th birthday trip to Iceland, upon arrive the hotel team had left a happy birthday note and some sweet treat for her which was a really lovely touch. The views from the room were great and the location was really central and really accessible. The hotel staff were very helpful, they gave us herbal tea for the room as we don't drink breakfast tea and on the last day because our airport transfer was early, they provided coffee, tea and croissants free of charge in the reception.
